Managment Review

In the most current HUD notice for the implementation of EIV (H 2011-11) it clarifies that any property that has not completely implemented EIV, including the necessary policies and procedures, is subject to a finding on the Management and Occupancy Review (MOR) report which will result in a 5% penalty being deducted from the property HAP voucher until the finding is corrected.

In an effort to avoid any EIV findings and the resulting 5% penalty, below is information that should help in preparing for the MOR. The HUD Notice H 2010-10 and the July 7, 2010 HUD Blast Newsletter from Mary Ross details what is required from owners/agents for implementing and using EIV.

Also located below is an EIV Checklist that will be completed the day of the review. You will notice asterisk's next to certain items on the checklist. Please be aware that if the box next to the asterisk is checked, that would be a finding on the MOR report and would result in the 5% penalty.

We hope you find the information useful. Please feel free to contact our office if you have any questions.
